Endoscopic Dacroagstorhinostomy

Endoscopic Dacroagstorhinostomy
Epiphora, or abnormal tearing, occurs because of blockage in the lachrymal drainage system, which impairs normal tear channelling into the nose. Recurrent infection may also occur as a result of the stagnation. The Dacryocystorhinostomy operation involves fistulization of the lachrymal sac into the nasal cavity endoscopically, avoiding an external scar. Success rate in this method is at par with external drainage done by eye surgeons. Even severe infection as an external abscess is not a contradiction for Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy surgery.
