Ossiculoplasty (Ossicular chain reconstruction)

Ossiculoplasty in often performed in conjunction with Tympanoplasty, to repair the damaged ear bones or Ossicles. Damaged ossicles can lead to hearing loss. Ossiculoplasty is done with the help of ones own residual ossicle or ear prosthesis. Titanium implants are commonly used. This is done either through incision hidden behind the ear or through one made in the ear canal.
